Kirk's wish for Christmas was a Sauerkraut crock. It's a ceramic crock you can pickle vegetables in, not just cabbage! He was very excited to see the big box on Christmas Eve and couldn't wait to get started. Here it sits on my counter while it slowly ferments the cabbage to make sauerkraut. Sounds appetizing doesn't it?! I don't care for it, but if it makes my hubby happy it's all good.
Really, I am grateful to have a husband that actually likes to cook and is very good at it too. When we got married he was actually a better cook than I was! He is actually the candy man. I can't make candy, but he has it down to an art. How did I get so lucky?! Wait...isn't he supposed to say that!
Cooking is one of our favorite family activities. We've cooked with the kids so much that they bug us all the time to help out when we're cooking. They think it's so fun and love it!

Maybe you guys could teach me to cook! I am not so good...and don't really like it because I am not creative! HELP!
That would be fun! We'll have to have you guys over for dinner some time now that we will be neighbors!
Adrian loves saurkraut too - maybe its from their missions or something?? How lucky you are to have a cooking hubby!!
Hi! Go to my Four Little Loves and you will see that I gave you an award today! I think you are so great!! C-ya tonight!
If you don't like saurkraut, try this Swiss version (from my dad). I don't know amounts, but chop some raw bacon into small pieces and cook it with sliced onions. Add that to the saurkraut. Mmmm! The bacon grease makes it so yummy!
